Gold-filled metal is a thick layer of pure gold bonded to a base metal, composing a minimum of 5% of the total weight, comprising 100x more gold content than gold-plated. Unlike gold-plated, gold-filled has 100 times more gold content and is second only to solid gold in terms of quality. Gold-filled is highly tarnish resistant, waterproof, and hypoallergenic - suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

Gold vermeil is a jewellery finish that involves a layer of gold plating over a sterling silver base. This creates a luxurious, durable, and affordable alternative to solid gold jewelry. Our vermeil is a thick layer (more than 2.5 microns) of 1K solid gold on sterling silver.

- Avoid leaving exposed to water - immediately dry after contact with water.

- Remove your jewellery before going to sleep, and avoid wearing it when working outside, sunbathing, or bathing. We recommend applying any lotions or perfume well before putting on your jewellery.

- Remove any jewellery when during household cleaning. In particular chlorine and bleach accelerate tarnishing and should be avoided.

- Ideally store your pieces of jewellery separately, so that they don't rub together or become tangled. Also, when taking your jewellery with you on holiday, we advise transporting it in a little box to avoid any pressure on your jewellery. We recommend storing your pieces in the APRILLE Jewellery box or pouch. 

- When cleaning your jewellery with a soft fabric or polishing cloth, rub the piece in one direction rather than circular motions.    

When should I expect delivery of my order?

Each piece is made to order, thoughtfully handcrafted just for you. This approach allows us to maintain the highest level of quality, care, and attention to detail in every design. Please allow 2–3 working days for your jewellery to be created before dispatch.

If your chosen piece is already available in stock, it will be shipped the same day to ensure it reaches you as quickly as possible.

Delivery times will depend on the shipping option selected at checkout. As a guide:
